Secondly, found your blog from a recent comment of yours over at Glory to God for All Things. Stick with Fr. Stephen. He has the gift of communicating the Faith to our Evangelical culture like no other. My family and I converted to Eastern Orthodoxy by way of TEC (I was considering Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry and Nashotah House myself, at one point).
Creator of Angels and Lord of Hosts, as of old You opened the ear and tongue of him that was deaf and dumb, so now open my perplexed mind and tongue to praise Your most holy Name, that I may cry to You:
Jesus, most wonderful, Astonishment of Angels.
Jesus, most powerful, Deliverance of Forefathers.
Jesus, most sweet, Exultation of Patriarchs.
Jesus, most glorious, Dominion of kings.
Jesus, most desired, Fulfillment of Prophets.
Jesus, most praised, Steadfastness of Martyrs.
Jesus, most gladsome, Comfort of monastics.
Jesus, most compassionate, Sweetness of presbyters.
Jesus, most merciful, Abstinence of fasters.
Jesus, most tender, joy of the righteous.
Jesus, most pure, Sobriety of virgins.
Jesus, pre-eternal, Salvation of sinners.
I have you as the shelter and the defence of my life, you, the Theotokos and Virgin; pilot and govern me into your sheltered port, for you are author of good things and support of the faithful, O you the only all-praised one.
Pure one, greatly fill my heart with rejoicing; and grant me your undefiled happiness, since you gave birth to Him Who is the cause of joy.
Preserve and save, O Theotokos, your servants from every danger; after God do all of us for refuge flee to you; you are a firm rampart and our protection.
Matthew,
First off, you have an excellent name.

God bless you on your journey.
Thanks, Matthew. It’s a very strange journey for my wife and I, as it seems like we keep moving more and more traditional as the years have passed.
